Thank you all for your replies - seems I really got lucky with the fan then. It's definitely worth the 95$ I paid to me - now I just have to find a display case for it to keep it save. Or maybe I find a museum in Berlin that would show it so others can admire that wonderful intricate craftmanship as well.
