I did so, & showed Elisabeth & she liked one of the simple fillings.

A Russian filling would be my suggestion.  If you have access to "Tieren in Kleur" or 
"Motieven in Kleur" (not sure of the exact names or spellings, but something like this), 
you'll see a lot of interesting fillings which only take a couple of pairs.
