Compared side by side on the same pattern lace made from silk is in My opinion far superior to cotton as I'm not a fan of the slubbish/fluffiness of cotton threads. Does anyone know of any alternatives that are available in the common fine silk sizes? I have a sort of determination to use natural fibers as close as possible but object to silk for ethical reasons.
Has anyone thought of making smooth fine thread from bamboo, soy-waste silk, milkweed seedpod fiber, bombax husk (the short fibres may not hold strength as thread), silkemp, ect? - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here.
