The edging came from Alex Stillwells book which made me think of tipi shapes
(we made and used one for a couple of summers for our living history
camping).
I have only hand sewn one other piece which was a bedfordshire hanky I did
several years ago but as it is shaped it was not as tidy as this one turned
out. Since then I have had some information sent to me to help me work out
how best to set about it which made a huge difference. Now I have the
rhythm going I am going to continue on with the second one I have tacked and
ready to sew. I have to say the use of a good light and magnifying glass
has been essential.

Very pretty edging, Sue and beautiful work attaching the two. That is
something I've not tried yet - sewing an edging onto linen. Thank you for
sharing.

Liz in Australia (now having a ball in the US), challenged me to complete
this ufo while she was gone, <g>. So I did and have uploaded the photo
into
my album ..Hurwitzend... I have had the lace made a while now, not sure
how
long without looking, but finally got working at attaching one to the
other.
Not only that I am hoping to complete the other lace hanky edge I have
worked
but not completed, before she gets back home. > Sue T, off to have a
celebration cup of tea.
