OK, so you caught me out, its not me who made the lace it was the cat, <grin>. I think he taught me a trick or two as well as I am continuing to work at it almost a year after he went to the big cattery in the sky. His downside was that I always had to make sure it was lying safetly on a good surface as he would stretch out on top when I was out of the way and sleep for england. I had to make sure that there was lots of covers on top so he didn't do the bed of nails trick. I got good at placing my pin cushion and lamp arm over the top while I made dinner to keep him off it. I had been warned about cats and lace pillows by my teacher at the time, so never made the mistake of leaving it uncovered or not safe on flat surface. The only time I have had my pillow fall to the floor it was my fault, when I used to work with it on my lap I got up fast to answer the phone and it was only half on the table and the heaviest bit with the bobbins laying was off the table, !!!!!!! It took me about 2 or 3 hours to gently unpick the threads and bobbins and only broke one thread which was when I first learned how to add a new thread. I didn't make that mistake again:-)
