Dear Chris, Thanks for this announcement. It is rare for us to read of a local lace exhibit in the U.S. A reminder to all Americans, including Chris in ILLINOIS and Kim, who wrote from CALIFORNIA, that there are many non-Americans on Arachne. We cannot expect them to know the abbreviations for American states. Please give them this small consideration. They have politely requested this in the past.
It occurs to me that there must be some lace experts in the U.S. and in Belgium who would like to make a connection with the ladies from the Moline Belgian Cultural Center who will be demonstrating lacemaking. Do these ladies know about [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) ? Do they have a local lace group? Would they be willing to share a contact address? You may reply just to me, if they express privacy concerns. Then, are there any American lacemakers who would like to make contact with these ladies to share experiences about making traditional Belgian laces?
