I can assure you all that Lacy Susan is going to continue operating under a
new owner - Trudy Scholten in Denver. - and I got that straight from Trudy
herself!
The same name will stay for a little while, I believe

When I came to my first IOLI convention - in Denver, 2005, I was like a kid
in a Lolly shop when I entered the Vendors Room!! I have never seen so many
sellers of lace supplies together in one place before! You have No idea how
lucky you are over in USA, and I suspect England as well.
At our Lace Days - 6 per year - we have a bobbin maker and all his goodies,
and a general supplier with books, threads, etc, and the Guild table, which
sells 2nd hand books, and various other Lace related things that people want
to dispose of, and the Guild gets 10% of the price, I think. Sometimes there
is another person selling a few things, but not regularly. Once a year
another supplier comes from Interstate, - so we really spend up Big with 2
suppliers!!

The rest of our needs are catered for by the Internet, a couple of them
being here in Australia. I know Josco lace supplies, in NSW, travels around
a bit, and there are usually a few suppliers on the final day at AGMs but
mainly we have to send away for whatever we need.

The loss of any supplier is cause for great sadness, and anxiety - "where
will I get xxx from now?" I just hope The Lacemaker USA can find a buyer,
and that the shop will survive.
