Maybe Clay should answer this, since she really skypes. I have seen my daughter skyping with her boyfriend, he on his iphone, she on my husband's ipad. But that is just a two way situation. Debra Jenny claims she skyped with her daughter when the daughter was in France. The daughter was using MIT facilities and the image of her was very clear, but Debra was not, so the image of her was fuzzier. She said something about not having enough megapixals. In the case of the ipad and iphone the camera is actually in the device. In other cases you do have a camera on the computer. Or possibly you could mount the camera so it is looking down on a lace pillow? My husband says they have video conferencing at work, but he hasn't been in on any use with multiple parties. He thinks, though, that you could save a copy by recording it somehow on the computer if that is what you want. Devon In a message dated 10/30/2011 6:37:43 P.M. Clay and Devon How exactly does this Skype thing work? I've heard of it but never actually seen it in operation. Does it just require a camera attached to your screen, or does it require a special studio with special equipment? Does it work like a news report on TV where people in different cities participate in a discussion? What are the costs for equipment, special linkages, and so forth? Does it automatically generate a digital copy, like an email does or discussion in a social network? Or is it more like a land line telephone where the content evaporates unless someone is buggin you?
