Please give your geographic location when you write to Arachne. Often, there are lacemakers quite close to you, but in an adjacent state, province, or territory. When you do not give enough location information, how can they decide that they can be of help to you? Example: You could say something like "southern Oklahoma USA", and get help not only from lacemakers in Oklahoma, but from lacemakers in Dallas or Fort Worth Texas.
When you do not say where you are from, you may (probably) receive replies that do not apply to your location. Also, at times what you are requesting (for example, supplies) is either not available in your country or may be known by another name. I cannot offer a guarantee, but can tell you that I have never had a problem with using my state name and nation in my signature line, and I have been on Arachne over 15 years..
