I got to the courthouse at 7:30 a.m., as instructed, went through the security scan just fine. The deputy sheriff who actually looked at the scan didnât know me. I told him, âIn case youâre wondering, thatâs a bobbin lace pillow, and those are pins.â He said, thinking for a second, âOh, yeah, pins, well, theyâre ok.â And I went through. Went in a different security check after lunch, and there was no comment, at all, and he didnât look twice at it. Did about 2 hours of lace today. Since I didnât get picked for the jury, Iâll be back tomorrow for another chance, and Iâve left my travel pillow and stand, which fit nicely and compactly into a medium tote bag with plenty of room to spare in the car. I also brought my knitting for times when I wasnât sure Iâd have the time to pack up, as when we were waiting for the panel to go into the court room. I did take a picture, but itâs not worth posting, except as proof, which should be unnecessary.
