Hello Everyone
I am writing this warning to stop other lacemakers who buy multiples
of bobbins etc. As some of you know I have my own group and for the last 10
years since the group started,I have always bought everyone`s bobbins and then
they pay me. This year I ordered 4 bone bobbins and 4 wooden bobbins, plus the
two new books The wedding one and the decorations one. It all came to £84 and
what I thought to be a bit extra for postage. When the package arrived it said
£ 1.59 on the envelope and when I checked how much I had been charged for
Postage. It came to £11.21. Which I think is outragous. So I contacted the
Lace Guild and asked if they had made a mistake. I was sent a list of postage
prices. I had been charge postage for each seperate item.Since then I have had
my e`mails ignored. So I wrote to the chairman who it looks as though is
ignoring that as well.
I won`t be a member next year and I think there may be others to follow suit.
