On that subject I have to report that I heard geese flying overhead at 1:00 am
this morning. And the silly robin was singing at 2:00am. (Daylight doesn't
arrive until after 6 am). Late this afternoon I heard our first sea gull of
the season. And that robin was singing his heart out at dusk this evening. I
went grocery shopping today wearing clothes I usually reserve for July. It
has been a very mild winter, and spring is way ahead of itself. The plants
and the birds are confused.

It scares me a little to think about what the real July will be like.

Lorelei near Chicago, where it ought to be cold, but isn't.
