I've just got off the phone with Clive Rice... Betty Ann's husband.
When he last saw her she was grey and totally out of it, but in good
shape, according to her doctors. This afternoon when he visited, she
was sitting up in a chair, eating Jello, and looking for all the world
like she was at Tea!! He is elated with how fast she has rebounded, and
says her doctors are equally pleased. She will remain in ICU for
another day, and may be sent home by the end of the weekend. Her
daughter is coming up to help take care of them, and so it all looks
really good at this point.
Clive sends his sincere thanks to all of you who have written (through
Arachne...). I sent him an email telling him all who had written, and
Betty Ann was thrilled to "hear" from all of you. She's a tough bird
(her own words), and we haven't heard the last from her yet!!!
Clive is looking forward to a contented night's sleep (well earned!)
tonight.
