Tonight I watched a really strange movie on our local SBS channel.
I'd expected it to be an English film, but it turned out to be German
with subtitles - I'd say from the 60s by the style. It was called
"Victoria in Dover" and is really worth a look if you come across it:
so good in fact that I was forced to stop making lace and watch it.
Boy can the German's do costumes!!! What a magnificent Chantilly
shawl the Baroness was wearing; not to mention other gorgeous laces
on both Victoria and her mother.
