Has anyone found a obituary for Pat Earnshaw other than what was reported
last week? I tried Google, and the only articles were those that appeared
on Arachne. Not enough for a woman who did so much to advance the love of
lace. (Does everyone know that your memos are all picked up on Google???)

Here is what is in my library, by Pat Earnshaw:

 1. Bobbin & Needle Laces - Identification & Care
 2. Development of Lace - Slide Presentation Script
 3. Dictionary of Lace (Paperback)
 4. Embroidered Machine Nets - Limerick & Worldwide
 5. How to Recognise Machine Laces (Paperback)
 6. Identification of Lace (Paperback)
 7. Lace in Fashion 18th to 20th Century (Paperback)
 8. Lace in Fashion Slide Presentation Script
 9. Lace Machines & Machine Laces
10. Lace Machines & Machine Laces - Volume 2
11. Limerick Run Laces - An Introduction (Paperback)
12. Needlelace
13. Needle-made Laces - Materials/Designs/Techniques
14. Outlines and Stitches - Guide to Design - Includes Halas
15. Threads of Lace - From Source to Sink (Paperback)
16. Youghal and Other Irish Laces (36-page booklet)
17. Youghal Lace - The Craft and The Cream (36-page booklet)

This list includes books published since 1983. Many more recent
publications by other authors have piggy-backed off of Pat's research.

My only personal memory of her was her Lace Identification class at the
1995 Annual Ithaca Lace Day & Conference (New York State). This is a large
enough event (this year will be the 32nd) that teachers and speakers have
been brought from overseas for many years. I was in Pat's class, and was
able to purchase 3 pieces of lace for my collection at that time.

Please, share your memories. This way Pat will be remembered on Google.

It is my custom to Google and print obituaries, then place them in the
books lace authors have written - not only for myself, but for the next owners
of the books.
