Thanks to everyone who has written. I
cannot send a link for the picture yet as it was intended to go to the Lace
Guild for their appeal for houses, shops, buildings, etc., for a Lace Street
that they intend to make a frieze of lace buildings for use on their table at
lace events.
I imagine Jane Partridge can give more details about their
appeal for lace. I think the deadline in in early January.

Details of this idea have been in Lace over the last year or so - the deadline is actually 30 January 2014, not next year. The idea is as Janice says, for a string of laminated photographs of 2D (note!) lace pictures of buildings to be strung up at various events. In the meantime, photos and patterns of the lace submitted may be featured in the magazine. No doubt if our editor, or someone else from the education subcommittee, is lurking they will add to this (it was their idea).

With Christmas/the Holiday Season coming up, I'm sure all of the Guilds and Societies who publish magazines/bulletins/newsletters would appreciate a "present" of a pattern or article or two from their members; people always think others will send something in, or that the editors have lots of things to choose from, but there are times when the opposite is true and maybe the winter evenings when the light isn't quite up to lacemaking could be time to design - some laces don't even need pricked outlines and could be based on tracings taken from your photographs....

With my "shows" hat on, what I could do with is some patterns for lace to go into rulers (the aperture is 295mm x 30mm, and it will just take a gimp of Goldrush or Perle 8 thickness) that we can use to make up kits that we can sell at shows - similar to those we did for the lacy pens. If anyone has anything suitable (which must be of their own design and previously unpublished) could they send it to The Hollies *marked for my attention* as if it goes into Lace I can't use it in the kits. If I do get more than I need, then hopefully no-one will have any objection to my passing their patterns on to our editors (Lace and Young Lacemaker).

Whilst I'm on about Guild things, and those who have been reading the magazine will already know, our Librarian, Rosemary Green, is retiring in a few weeks' time - she has worked for The Lace Guild for about twenty five years and will be a hard act to follow; we are collecting for a leaving gift and, of course, looking to replace her. (I hope you don't mind me mentioning this).
