Hi Alex and all,

In 17nth. and 18nth. centuries, used to work here in Catalonia (Spain) metallic laces, gold and silver threads to decorate ecclesiastical articles and the Madonna's dresses. These laces were exported all over Europe. But the historic texts also say that the poorest parishes worked the same lace techniques using less costly threads, pita.
