Hello All! Thank you for discussing this topic yet again! IMHO a broader view of "what is lace?" would help. This is where "modern" lace can really shine & the oversized lace hanging from the ceiling somewhere in Manchester (museum?) is a case in point. It was huge & couldn't be ignored--sort of like Christo meets lace. Lace is the technique, not the scale in which it is worked. So how do we get the public to appreciate lace? Whatever works--including unconventional form, size & materials! If it's any consolation, other arts are similarly challenged.
