Hello All! Adding to Robin's comment about PLG, it's been great fun to
participate in the Pittsburgh Folk Festival demo at the Convention Center in
Monroeville. Also the annual Christmas event at the Cathedral of Learning
downtown where there is a large piece of lace on display, if memory serves, in
the Czech room. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_Learning PLG is
assigned to the very lovely Croghan-Schenley Room & a "lace tree" covered with
member-made ornaments is installed on the banquet table. Last year, a friend
in Pittsburgh was invited to display her metallic lace at an art gallery that
features textile arts. In Grove City, another friend exhibited at a winery &
at a shop that sells handmade giftware. Each small business provided the
venue, organized an "opening" with a demo & exhibited her lace for a month.
Lots of opportuntities, big & small. Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Palm Beach
Gardens, FL USA
