I started my lacemaking using a book called 'Every girls book of hobbies' by

M de Foubert 1924 that I bought in a market, >.........
...........<Pam Nottingham had not even written her book. Patterns were
like
hens' teeth, I had to work out how to plot them on graph paper and it took
me
three weeks to work out how to work a spider!. I use my experiences, good
and
bad, to help me write my books and hope they are easier to follow than some
I
had to use.
