I'm connected with a couple of great tatting communities. *InTatters* and the *Tatting section of IOLI*. You can get some great help and advice there. I've been tatting for a long time and very much prefer shuttle tatting. If you are looking to learn I recommend this style - it's much easier to do some of the trick of the trade. However, needle tatting is great for those who have issues like arthritis of bad carpel tunnel.
