Absolutely, Ayla! Using wire requires a special bobbin. There are a number of different types, designed to meet the various weights (sizes) of wire in a project. You will never want to put a hitch on wire... It will crimp and never straighten again. Sorry I can't provide more information but I have only had a tiny exposure to wire lace... Enough to know the challenges!
