It seems to me that this contribution to Arachne has just opened up a "Who's Who" in the modern lace world! Clearly, Bev Walker and her leadership of the Canadian Lacemaker Gazette stands out as a major contributor!! In addition to that, Bev has routinely shared her expertise with this list, and with individuals who have posted questions to the list! So, I extend my profound thanks and respect to Bev!
And Jeri is another person who deserves our undying appreciation! She keeps our collections in safe storage and she is quick to shout the alarm when someone is treating lace in a way that will make the work disappear due to bad conservation. I think this "Who's Who" would not be complete without including Tess Parrish, whose work with "the Professor" and the digital archives in Arizona has saved hundreds, if not thousands of books, articles, pictures, and other lace-related documents in a searchable archive! It should be noted that each of the people I have acknowledged have served the cause of Lace without renumeration. I invite you to share your "Who's Who in Lace" and look forward to hearing of many more who have served the cause of Lace in the same capacity!
