The House voted along party lines to delay the Affordable Health Care Act by a year (ie, Republicans have the majority, so it passed). Senate majority leader has already stated that he will strip the funding bill of ALL amendments and let it go through that way.
Freakin' politics. They are playing with people's LIVES - I personally know too many people who would be extremely negatively affected should the government be shut down on Oct 1. Heck, as my husband is a contractor on a US Military Base, WE could have been extremely negatively effective, but his job is "mission critical," so they can't stop paying him. Ob Lace: On October 1, I will most likely be taking my mother in law to different furniture shops, and may be able to do some needle lace while she's looking around.
