I can see a wreath on the house opposite right now! But I've never seen a bag to put one in.
I have made a couple of pillow bags. Some years ago (children were school age) I was looking to buy something to carry a pillow in and DD spotted just what I wanted, but I couldn't buy it - it was the bag containing the suction pipe of a DIY carpet home cleaning kit. Basically it was constructed like a circular box cushion; two circles of fabric with a long strip around the outside and a zip fastener inserted along half the length of that strip, plus a carrying handle. Alice - the bag with polythene between the two layers sounds very much like those which Barbara Crockford of Spinneyhill Lacemaking used to make. Did she also sell octagonal pillows?
