Hello All! The carved bone tubes have piqued my interest as well so I will add my 2c. Just wondering if they could be bobbins for a Chinese braiding stand? They are about the right size for a small one & the stands/equipment can be quite elaborate. Weights/spangles generally hang from one end with no fewer than 8 bobbins & no more than 15 worked at a time. Thanks for the link Jenny no matter what they really are! On another matter--non-lace alert!!--I may have discovered a well-kept Australian secret. Who knew that there are "Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup" from Sydney & just in time for a bubbly New Year's celebration?? No wonder it's always G'day!! LOL. Happy New Year to all.
