I totally agree with Agnes.
I had the biography of Sister Judith after I had written it in Dutch,
translated into English by a professional translator. That and the cost of
the printing are enormous.
And this is only a 'simple' book.
I will have to sell more books than I probably will to cover the costs!
I really wanted to let as many people as possible hear about Sister Judith's
life and that makes it worth it. That and the nice comments I get by the
readers!
When there are enough lacemakers and historians who want a book like "Brugge
en Kant" translated, I think they have to put together the money first and
then go to Martine Bruggeman and her publisher.
Too bad, but that's the way it is.
