Hi David:

I would have to see a picture of the two techniques to understand exactly what 
you’re talking about. It seems to me that if you have, say, a half-stitch 
diamond next to another half-stitch diamond and you don’t put on at least 1 
extra twist, the two half-stitch areas would just become one big area. So I 
know I’m missing something here. 

I would put in two twists to keep the continuity, but if that looked wonky I’d 
fool around with the twists until it looked better, just as you have.
