This is a topic that has come up periodically on the list, and I have found that my own viewpoint changes from time to time!
A number of years ago, I was inclined to be frugal with the amount I put on bobbins, and when a project was done, the small amount of thread left was discarded. However, my projects tend to be more similar these days, and if I load up the bobbins, they can be used for several projects before tossing the bitter ends! I do put the loaded bobbins in bags with the thread size, (and color, because white and ecru are not the same!) clearly noted on a piece of paper... I also put how many bobbins are in the bag!
