I too have just returned to lace. I didn't do any for 18 months have
got a clot on my lung after a coach holiday- too long sitting in one
position and then not enough time to sightsee! I took up cloth-stitch,
easier to move one's legs. It is not just a problem of remembering
how, but the pain in joints that have not been used a lot, mine the R
and L ones just above the wrist. Either that or it is old age marching
on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All we can do is press on and be happy when it becomes easier..

I have not been making lace for best part of four years and suspect that it
won't be easy to return to it, as I suffered a bad injury to my right
shoulder with chronic pain as a legacy. But I think the time is right to
give it a try.
At the time of the accident I was at beginning of intermediate level I
would say.
Where should I start? Right at the beginning doing bookmarks etc? (it's my
inclination to make a couple to refresh my knowledge and skills) but I am
curious re what you would advise.
I know I might not last long at the pillow initially, maybe never, but feel
I need to at least give it a go.
