I would check Patricia Wardle's Victorian Lace, and Santina Levey in that era. Also, look for motifs on the huge triangular shawls that were made to fit over the hoop skirts. Ribbon designs were very popular as were oval motifs and ferns. What is the purpose of your inquiry? Devon
