Thanks, Sue.  Doing it from a photo is my last resort.  :  )  I had hoped to
find something that would at least tell me how many pairs of bobbins to use.  
They named him Caius, so I wanted to set the angel in the letter C from Sandi
Woods alphabet book.

Looks like a challenge is taking shape.

I suggest you do what Mark says he did with it - print out
the photo and 
work over that.  It is surprisingly easy to make that sort to
lace over a 
photo

entry with no mention of the pattern's origin. 
My niece's baby was
