Hi Peg, In his blog, Tatman says that he "got it from a photo and just duplicated it using the photo as my pricking". Unless anybody has seen the pricking somewhere, you will have to do the same as him.
To see the number of pairs, you should blow it up a lot, and try to count... hard work, but... worth it.
