Thanks again to all who sent suggestions for narrow edgings. There are clearly many more resources than I had ever contemplated. And thank you Corinne for suggesting Alex's book! Although I don't know the individual laces well enough to put my finger on many beyond Torchon, Milanese, Honiton & Idrija, I should have started with the lace timeline. My fashionistas represent 1896 to 1904 so matching them up with lace from the same era would have been a sensible place to start. Apparently my brain was on holiday.
