The Metropolitan Chapter of IOLI, based in northeastern New Jersey, is looking forward to an expanded lace celebration from November 2 - 6.
Acclaimed lace teacher Kumiko Nakazaki will teach a workshop for four days: Thursday and Friday, November 2 and 3, and then Sunday and Monday, November 5 and 6. Saturday the 4th is open to the public, and Holly Van Sciver and Kathy Kirchner will offer books and supplies for bobbin lace, tatting, crochet and knitting. There will be a display of lace, demonstrations of lacemaking, and a beginners class. In addition to Kumiko's workshop, on Sunday Pat Morris will teach Idrija lace. Pre-registration is necessary for both workshops. Saturday and Sunday will be held at the Elks Club in Westwood, New Jersey.
