I have one of these (I think). There is a little switch on the battery box that allows you to change the direction of the way you wind the bobbin.
I wind my midlands this way, I might be doing it in the reverse of what I am supposed to..... maybe that's why I have some slipping with my hitch, even though its not on the head of the bobbin, but rather over the wound thread.
