G'day Joseph,
I have two main pillows which I love working on. One is an ordinary cookie
pillow - a large one about 60cm diameter - which I was told was the last one
made here in Victoria, AUS stuffed with horse hair.

The other one for larger pieces I had specially made by an old friend now
deceased. You see I really HATE having to move lace up. So he made me a lace
desk which consists of 6 polystyrene blocks each 30cm square. i.e. a 2 rows
of 3. They fit very tightly into a 10cm frame of the same polystyrene. All
is covered by navy blue drill (stiff cotton) and set into a wooden border.
The base is a ply wood. The whole thing is very light and easily transported
from room to room. Oh each block has a round hole under it so I can push it
up to move them round when needed.

I just love it. Many thanks Len Purcell of Mt. Eliza.

Oh and BTW the best thing I ever bought was a large hand made wooden Lazy
Susan on which to sit the cookie pillow. I can turn it at will with one
finger. It sits on a round foot stool.

30" might be too big for comfort. I find that I have trouble seeing up close
because the lace is so far away even in a 23" one. I for sure wouldn't want
one any bigger.
