Publicity is often the last thing lace makers think of when something special is scheduled, but it should be the first.  The earlier we learn of something special, the better for everyone who loves lace enough to support it by our presence.  It is time to set up my 2018 review schedule, which includes a February 1 deadline, in 20 days.  No authors have contacted me recently.  If you know of something that would be of interest (preferably in English) to Arachne readers and the New England Lace Group, please contact me - privately.  The same goes for announcing any special Lace events and exhibits.  For example, what is happening with Lace in the museums of London and other national centers of culture?  Travelers, scholars, and you - need to plan ahead.  Please write directly to Arachne.  If you are shy, please send news to me for sharing.  Fashionistas are reporting that embroidery on clothing will be very strong this year.  What travels with embroidery on garments?  Lace!  Let's get the news rolling.  Jeri Ames in Maine USA Lace and Embroidery Resource CenterÂ
