Both Doris Southard and Jules Kliot spell it Bie... The common German
surname is Biedermann (note two n's, again how both Southard and Kliot
spell it). Short of tracking down a census record or government death
record, I think it's clear that it's Biedermann. FWIW, Google "corrects"
Beiderman to Biedermann.
