My brother and his wife were taken into hospital recently due to smoke
inhalation after an explosion in their flat which caused some fire damage and
obviously smoke damage. In the first few days our concerns were for them but
once the initial shock he asked me if it was possible to replace a gift I gave
them a couple of years ago, which I have been able to do easily, but today I
remembered that previously to this I worked a lace photo frame for their
sitting room which is the area where the fire took place (although I dont
think that has dawned on them yet). The flat is not currently habitable right
now which gives you an idea of the extent of the damage. Can I ask if it is
possible to recover white lace to a reasonable state if it has survived the
main fire area or should I just consider remaking it, as I created the design
on my lace program at the time I still have the pattern in my files ? I know
some of you more experienced ladies have masses of knowledge about this kind
of situation which I hope you will point me toward please.
