Hello All
This Festival was originally planned for June last year and was
postponed until now because of Covid. I have been involved very
marginally and made one of the panels on the front of the building and
also contributed a couple of circles which have been hung in trees in
the neighbourhood. I am hoping to travel from Melbourne to Sydney for
the Conference weekend and to see the exhibition. In Australia we have
no Corona virus in the community and it only takes one case of a worker
working in Hotel quarantine to be infected for the borders between
States to be closed , so I have my fingers crossed that that does not
happen. April from the Embroiderers Guild who appears in the Video has
done a wonderful job of putting this exhibition together.

Hello, all -
There is an amazing lace exhibit happening now at Gallery 76, Embroiderers'
Guild NSW in Australia. (I think I've got this right to say that the
Embroiderers' Guild has a building and the exhibit space there is called
Gallery 76, but forgive me if that's not exactly correct.)
Fibertalk - twice a week needlework podcasts and sometime live video
broadcasts as well, all by Gary Parr - did a video tour with April at the
gallery this week. You can watch it
here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2Mz2_Iue8s&t=1808s
There is also an exhibit program available for download
here:Â https://www.embroiderersguildnsw.org.au/events/festival-of-lace-2021
Our own Elena Kanagy-Loux is a speaker at the conference happening later this
month.
The Australian Lace Guild also is a part of this as well. Do we have any
Australians here that were involved in this exhibit and can share with us?
