Thanks for all the replies I've had about the *not* crocheted lace. I'm
learning all sorts of things from this list. I had no idea that bobbin lace
was made by machine like this. Your messages have all been encouraging and
welcoming too - hopefully this will give me confidence to post again!
Thanks too for the tips about washing glass beads. I've bought some of the
powdery Indian glass beads myself so shall be trying them out.
