When I made mine I didn't use Sterling Bangles just some inexpensive ones and gold color at that. If you polish them up and apply clear nail polish it should keep them from tarnishing (at least for a good while). Also package them in sealed plastic bags to keep the air away from the silver. A piece of Blackboard chalk in the package will also retard tarnishing.
