I have made several of the lacey bangles and, on some of them, I covered
the bangles before I used them for the lace. I covered them with a sort
of blanket stitch, so that the bangle didn't show (the bangles were not
particularly wonderful!) and I used the sparkly thread with which I made
the decoration, so it looked quite good! It did make the sewings round
the bangle a bit more intricate though ...
