I disagree.  If you did this, then people would make their lace entry to
only meet the requirements and judging criteria, and I think it would
stifle creativity and those who strive to broaden their horizons.

It's like tailoring your curriculum in schools and giving kids
'practice' tests in preparation for taking a state test or some other
major test.  In Colorado we have the CSAPs which is a standard test
administered to all elementary students grades 3 and up, middles school
and I think 9th and possibly 10th grades.  Many schools start to
'prepare' their students in 2nd grade for taking the test in 3rd grade,
with tailored curriculums and practice tests.  All they are doing is
teaching the kids to take the test not teaching them content.

It's the same with giving entrants the judging criteria.  You don't give
the answers to the student or examinee before the exam - it defeats the
purpose.
