Hello Susan and everyone I for one enjoy your remarks Susan ;) There is one little quibble, and I have mentioned it in another message - this word we use in bobbin lace, 'stitches' - it is a confusing term, considering almost any other 'stitch' I can think of requires needle and thread, or hook and thread or thread and thread (macramé?). I think best to describe lacemaking as a pleasant past-time with unique results - using one's favourite weasel words (another marketing ploy), and other description as fits the cause - the newcomer can decide if it will be simple or not (I think it was Helen who mentioned this? good point)
