I have always my 'special' display work with clear plastic pinned under the board. It could then be seen but not touched. I started doing this as I live in 'red dirt' country and I did not want a stray breeze to cover my lace with a red haze. Now there are two reasons for the plastic.
My 'have a go' pillows and my demo pillow are plenty for people to feel the tactile nature of the craft I love. I derive great pleasure seeing and hearing the reactions to my craft and would not miss a demo opportunity for quids (gee, that saying made me think of my maternal grandmother who quoted it constantly -- considering Australia has not had Pounds since 1966 that's a long memory LOL) You have our sympathy and best wishes that the chalice cover gets finished beautifully.
