Interesting. I have that painting on a needlepoint canvas that is partly under completion (completion being a loose term, since it's quite a ways from being complete :-) ). I don't think I ever knew who the artist was, so it's nice to have some information on it and perhaps it will inspire me to dig it out this winter and work on it a little.
I've done Vermeer's lacemaker in needlepoint, and I've also seen it tweaked a little to make her a tatter.
