I'd like to add my 2cents worth (not that 2 cents is worth much these days,
it seems :-) ).

It's sad when a business changes hands, and I have loved dealing with Susan
over the years as a personal customer and when I was the RMLG librarian.
She gave great customer service, and took care of my special bobbin
requests. I will miss that, but I know Trudy - have known her since she
joined the RMLG way back in '04 or '05 - and I know she has some big shoes
to fill, but she'll do a great job of taking care of our needs.

Whilst I understand the sadness of the East coast people to be losing a
vendor, maybe lace groups in the middle of the country and points west will
gain a chance to have a vendor visit their group. I know in Denver they
really haven't had one for some years. It was a treat when Holly came to
Seattle last year to teach, and she brought along a lot of supplies, and we
had a grand old time helping divest her of stock and helping out the economy
:-)

I remember back in Melbourne, in the late 80's and early 90's when we would
have several bobbin makers vend at the bi-monthly ALG Victorian Branch
meetings, with occasional visits from interstate vendors, and it was such a
treat to have a selection of wonderful bobbins to purchase. Several of
those bobbin makers have either moved on for health reasons or passed away,
which has been sad, but a part of the rhythm of life.

Hopefully there will be a good buyer for the Lacemaker, and we will have a
spread of great vendors across the country.

Cheers,
Helen, Duvall, WA
