It is strange that 'foreign' names appear to be more wanted than the home grown
ones - I can remember being great friends - a long time ago - with a girl who
was somehow connected to the family which made clothes under the label 'Jacques
Vert', and she always maintained that the name iof the person concerned was
Jack Green - but suitably translated to French, as all the 'big' dress
designers seemd to be French at that time.

We are a srange lot, aren't we.....

Carol - in North Norfolk where it isn't raining or snowing - just a bit murky
with spots of sunshine infrequently!
'Deliver us, Lord, from every evuil, and grant us peace in our time.'

Dear Claire
I think this is typical though of fashion and
luxuries - people like to think of them as imported from somewhere
appropriate, and despise locally made goods.
